Intensive Spanish Program
Our Intensive Spanish Program at Universidad de San Andrés is a 4-week program oriented to students who want to improve their Spanish and be immersed in Argentine culture.
Courses are always content-oriented and carefully tailored by a team of native instructors and professionals with vast experience in the teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language. Although every course has specific field trips and planned activities, the program curriculum is complemented with cultural events and recreational activities aimed at portraying the most prominent cultural features of the city of Buenos Aires.
The classes are taught at our “Sede Capital,” conveniently located at downtown Buenos Aires, five blocks from the legendary “Plaza de Mayo.”
This facility is full equipped with classrooms and a small computer lab.
The Intensive Spanish Program at UdeSA provides students the opportunity to earn academic credit while improving their Spanish. A university transcript will be mailed directly to the students’ home university upon successful completion of the program. Given the intensive nature of the one-month program, generally students earn credits for two semester long classes.
Classes are held Monday-Friday from 10am to 2:30pm with a break for lunch.
Spanish Language Course at Intermediate Level (40 hrs)
The course provides a systematic grammar review as well as strategies for listening, speaking, reading and writing in increasingly complex situations to prepare students to take content courses taught in spanish.
Spanish through Popular Culture, Literature and Film (40 hrs)
This is a dynamic, experientially based course which allows students to take advantage of their proximity to the dynamic city of Buenos Aires. Through the study of a diverse array of materials from literary texts, films, popular music and visual arts, the course provides students the opportunity to enhance their Spanish language skills while also delving into Argentine culture. Some planned activities include trips to museums and culturally relevant cityscapes.
